This letter was written by a friend just a few days after Matthew made his journey to Heaven.  She told us that she could not sit still and found herself with a pen and paper writing this note.

Camp Heaven

By Matthew Fisher (sent to us from Heaven)

Hi Mom and Dad,

Just wanted to let you know I got here safe and sound.

Jesus said to tell you Hi!

My room is nice. I have an upper bunk. I'm glad I brought my own pillow though.  The pillows here are a little to fluffy.

I have a new friend.  His name is St. Frances.  We are on the same ball team.  I hit a home run yesterday.  We have great fun!

I've had 2 hot fudge sundaes already. But don't worry Mom I won't overdo it.

Heaven is a great place and you know the leader of the camp God?  He treats us all the same. He keeps us all safe.  He took me to this special place and when I look down I can see you both.  I can see you are sad because I am not there with you.  I am only sad when I see you are sad and that is when God takes me aside says "My little son, one day your Mom and Dad will be here with you and they will hold you close once more.  That makes me feel better Mom just knowing we will be together again.

Camp Heaven isn't just for little people you know.  You will Love it too.

You know Mary? Jesus Mom? She said to tell you she will take very good care of me until you can get here.

If you look up to the sky you may get a glimpse of all of us.  We all wear white so it may be hard for you to pick me out. But I am here and I can see you real good.

We are as close as our thoughts, and Mom and Dad, I think of you every day. I can see you cooking supper Mom and I can see you at work Dad.

I will be up here playing ball, swimming, eating ice cream and climbing trees and waiting.  Waiting Mom and Dad to have you with me once again.

Please don't be sad Mom and Dad. I am just fine now. All the pain and worry is gone.  There is no such thing as cancer up here.  Isn't that great?

Please don't cry anymore Mom and Dad. I am just fine now.

I love you Mom and Dad.

Your son Matthew
